MT. McSAUBA SKI HILL
Charlevoix
The Mt. McSauba ski facility offers both downhill and cross-country skiing for the entire family. In recent years, the city has worked with the Convention & Visitors' Bureau to update rental ski equipment and enhance the groomed cross-country ski trails. Three loops, from one to six kilometers long, suitable for novice to advanced - from flat ground to steep hills. One loop is lighted. One mile north of Charlevoix, west of U.S. 31, follow the signs to Mt. McSauba Park.
FISHERMAN'S ISLAND STATE PARK
Charlevoix
Scenic trail is three kilometers long. There is plenty of wide-open space for skiers to blaze their own trail. Located two miles south of Charlevoix on Bell's Bay Road.
FINEST SKIING IN THE MIDWEST

Several of the finest downhill ski facilities in the Midwest - Boyne Mountain, Boyne Highlands, Nubs Nob, Shanty Creek and Schuss Mountain - are located within a snowball's throw of Charlevoix. Many skiers find Charlevoix to be an ideal base for operations as all of the hills are almost equidistant from the community.
SNOWMOBILE TRAILS
Charlevoix Trail to East Jordan
A 19 mile trail that runs between Charlevoix and East Jordan. The Charlevoix Trail head is located just 1/2 mile south of Charlevoix off U.S. 31. The East Jordan trail head and the snowmobile clubhouse are located near the M-32 & Mt. Bliss Road intersection - south of East Jordan. Chandler Hill Trail
The 34-mile Jordan River State Forest Trail begins east of Walloon Lake Village near the intersection of Howard & Chandler Roads and connects to the Jordan Valley Trail to the south and the Wolverine Trail to the north. INDOOR SWIMMING
Charlevoix
The Charlevoix Area Community Pool provides a sunny, warm spot for swimmers all year long. When the lakes are too cold for swim lessons or too frozen for any aquatic activities, the pool is the ideal alternative. Located on US 31 North near the Charlevoix Country Club, the pool is enjoyed by families, senior citizens and physical therapy patients. CHARLEVOIX HISTORICAL SOCIETY - HARSHA HOUSE
Charlevoix
The house was built in 1891 by Charlevoix businessman and community leader Horace Harsha. Granddaughter Ann Harsha donated the Victorian style house to the Charlevoix Historical Society in 1979 to be used as a museum.
